Watchmaking

In English we have been reading ‘Clockwork’ by Philip Pullman, with a theme of watches and time. We have been discovering how the city of Coventry also links to this theme with its history of watchmaking and decided to write an information text all about it. Can you see how we have applied out learning to write a successful introduction?

Multiplying fractions

We have been learning to complete lots of different multiplication calculations with fractions. We even listened to a very catchy song to help us remember the rules! We tried using lots of different images to show that we understand what happens when fractions are multiplied together.

Introductions

Standard

Sometimes it is tricky to write the introduction to a text without giving away all the information! This week we learnt the introduction to an information text off by heart by using key words and symbols. We then applied this skill to writing our own information text.
