Accurate construction

Standard

Today we have been using rulers, protractors and a lot of concentration to construct angles and triangles. Some people even completed a challenge to construct a regular polygon. This meant they needed to apply their knowledge from yesterday to work out what the interior angles should measure.

What would happen if…?

Standard

Today we have been discussing our gripping alternative ending to Macbeth. We asked ourselves the question ‘what would happen if Macbeth returned?’ We had a silent debate to share our ideas before freeze framing the key points. We decided that the witches would give a prophecy about his return, that Malcolm and Macduff would prepare for battle and that finally Macbeth would be defeated. Some people disagreed about which side Banquo’s ghost would be on! What do you think? Would he support Macbeth in order to make his son, Fleance, become king (as foretold in the prophecy) or would he be on Malcolm’s side to help finally defeat Macbeth?

Investigating North Wales

Standard

We have been learning that there are communities of people in South America that speak Welsh! So we decided to use our map skills to look at the physical and human features of North Wales so we could compare the two locations. We were particularly excited when we remembered that Dol Y Moch is in North Wales and that we could compare the landscape that we saw on our residential visit.
