What’s So Special About Shakespeare?

Wow! What an amazing afternoon for these Year 6’s! As it is the 400th anniversary of Shakespare’s death this year, we attended a talk by Michael Rosen (about the importance of Shakespeare) at the Stratford Literary Festival. We all got the chance to perform a section and two of us were even brave enough to go on stage to perform! Afterwards, we were able to meet Michael Rosen and get our scripts and books signed. He was even kind enough to make the ‘Chocolate Cake’ noise for us on request!

South American Exploration

This afternoon we are continuing our work on South America. We have each found out about one section of the continent, including several countries. We concentrated on finding the physical features of our chosen countries.

South America Jigsaw

This afternoon we have been learning about the physical and human features of different countries in South America. We each took a section of the map and researched our countries. What is the difference between the physical and human features of a country?

Macbeth Performance!

Last week, Year 6 had the brilliant opportunity to work with actors and actresses to put on a performance of Macbeth in a real theatre space! The show was a big success and many children’s acting and speaking skills shone. Take a look at the photos….
