After Wednesday’s speedy demonstration of Puppet Pals by Mr Connolly, 6E quickly grasped how to use the software and tried to animate and retell a Shakespeare Play. At the end of 1 hour we had a mini cinema experience (Next time Miss Edwards I need popcorn!) to view all the films. Some of the best ones you can watch yourself.
Which film do you think is the best? Can you justify your decision?
Year 6 are using Puppet Pals HD (a free version is available, but doesn’t have all the extras we used in class.).
From the plays of Shakespeare they have studied they are using characters and themselves in the film to retell the story.
Today the boy and girl writing groups had a competition to see who could score the most points with their writing. Can you guess who used the most commas, complex sentences and the best sentence starters????
Today has been a dramatic day in Year 6: this morning a group of wicked hags visited us and prepared a potion in front of us. This aftenoon, we created our own versions of the Nose Monologue in Cyrano.
Today three children from each class acted as witches and performed the witches’ spell from Macbeth. We used this to come up with some disgusting ingredients for our own witches’ spells.
Here is an example from Safyaan, Hassan and Hamzah:
The paralysing eyes of a scaleless snake.
Well done to Aleesha, Idrees and Safyaan for their amazing Macbeth writing.
